HUMIDIFLOW™ is a patented* technology specifically designed to provide patient humidification without the expense of conventional humidification bottles.

HUMIDIFLOW™ is plumbed in-line upstream of the air compressor and operates invisibly to the patient. The advanced hollow fiber membranes act as a moisture exchanger during operation. Oxygen to the patient flows through the inside of the membranes while ambient air—drawn in by the suction of the air compressor—flows countercurrently on the outside of the membrane. The moisture from the atmosphere diffuses across the membrane into the dry oxygen stream, thereby humidifying the oxygen and providing increased patient comfort.

Patients receive oxygen that is essentially the same relative humidity as the ambient atmosphere, making oxygen comfortable to the nasal passage.
